Description

Mala Beads Necklace – Mala beads, also commonly known as yoga beads or japamalas, consist of 108 beads. A mala generally has an additional bead. This bead is the “guru bead.” Which hangs perpendicular to the circle of counting beads. Therefore, a japamala or simply mala, is a loop of prayer beads. Indian religions such as Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism use them in their meditation practices.

Naturally occurring stones derive their colour from nature, and even fragments extracted from the same source display subtle variations in texture and hue.

Curious about what Mala beads Necklaces are made of?

A mala, is a string of beads, therefore they can come as necklaces and bracelets. Basically, they are predominantly made from rudraksha seeds, sandalwood or gemstone beads. As a matter of fact, traditional Buddhists often use seeds or sandalwood Mala; however, in more recent times, crystals are gaining popularity.  This is because people seek to integrate the healing properties of crystals into their meditation and intention-setting practices.

How do you use 108 MALA beads Necklace?

Using the 108 beads in your mala is a simple yet profound process:

  1. Hold your mala draped between your middle and index fingers in your right hand.
  2. Starting at the guru bead, use your thumb to count each smaller bead, pulling it toward you as you recite your mantra.
  3. Do this 108 times, travelling around the mala until you reach the guru bead again.

Basically, this precise process will help you feel confident in your meditation practice.
