Terms & Conditions
01. Introduction and Business Information
These Terms & Conditions apply to bookings for Orenna Wellness Private Experiences, workshops and events, including online workshops and events where offered, and to the purchase of digital products and downloadable materials from Orenna Wellness. Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before making a booking. By completing a booking, you agree to the Terms & Conditions set out in this document. Orenna Wellness is based at 57 Harbour Road, Inverness IV1 1UF, Scotland, United Kingdom. Email: hello@orennawellness.com Website: orennawellness.com Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal information. Information about cookies and similar technologies is provided in our Cookie Policy
02. Services and Experiences
Orenna Wellness provides private yoga and wellness experiences by appointment and may also provide in-person and online workshops, events and other educational wellness experiences. The description, date, location, format, duration, price and any specific inclusions, requirements or limitations applicable to a service will be made available before booking. Private experiences are individually prepared with reference to the guest's preferences, comfort and information they choose to share that is relevant to their participation. Workshops and events may involve more than one participant and may follow a defined programme, theme or structure. They are not individually tailored in the same way as a private experience unless expressly stated. Orenna Wellness provides non-clinical yoga, mindfulness and wellness services. Our services do not constitute medical diagnosis, medical treatment, physiotherapy, psychotherapy or other healthcare treatment. Individual experiences of yoga, meditation, mindfulness and related practices vary. No particular physical, psychological, emotional, therapeutic or health outcome is promised or guaranteed. Orenna Wellness may reasonably adapt, pause, decline or discontinue a particular practice where there is a genuine concern about safe or appropriate participation that cannot reasonably be addressed through an alternative or adaptation. Participation requirements and important information about physical practice, personal responsibility and the non-clinical nature of Orenna Wellness services are set out in Section 09. Orenna Wellness may make reasonable changes to a service where necessary for safety, legal or operational reasons, provided that the changes do not materially alter the nature of the service booked. If a material change is necessary, you will be informed as soon as reasonably practicable and any applicable consumer rights will be respected.
03. Booking, Orders, Consent and Confirmation
Bookings must be made using the booking or registration method provided for the relevant private experience, workshop or event. Private experiences are normally booked through Orenna Wellness's online appointment booking system. Workshops and events may use a different booking or registration method, which will be identified when they are offered. Digital products may be purchased through the checkout or ordering method provided for the relevant product. A digital-product order is confirmed when the required payment has been successfully processed and an order confirmation or access/download information has been issued. Before completing a booking, you will be given an opportunity to review these Terms & Conditions and any material information specifically applicable to the service being booked. By completing the required booking-consent process and proceeding with a booking, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions. Where a Participation Declaration is required, it must also be completed before participation. A booking is confirmed only when any required payment has been successfully verified and Orenna Wellness has issued a booking confirmation. A payment attempt, pending payment, checkout screen, incomplete registration or unconfirmed request does not reserve an appointment or workshop/event place. Please check your booking confirmation and contact Orenna Wellness promptly if any information appears incorrect. You are responsible for providing accurate and current information reasonably required in connection with your booking, purchase or participation, including contact information necessary for Orenna Wellness to communicate with you and provide the relevant service. Availability may change until a booking has been confirmed. If a payment appears to have been taken but you have not received booking confirmation, please contact Orenna Wellness before attempting another payment so that the transaction can be investigated and duplicate payments avoided.
04. Fees and Payment
The total price payable for a service, including any applicable charges that can reasonably be calculated in advance, will be displayed or otherwise communicated before you complete the booking. Where a purchase is made from outside the United Kingdom, the price, currency and any taxes or charges collected by Orenna Wellness will be shown or otherwise communicated as required before the purchase is completed. Your bank, card issuer or payment provider may apply currency-conversion charges or other fees that are outside Orenna Wellness's control. Unless expressly stated otherwise, payment is required in advance using one of the payment methods made available for the relevant booking. No optional additional payment will be charged without your agreement. If payment fails or cannot be verified, the booking remains unconfirmed. If an incorrect or duplicate payment is identified, Orenna Wellness will investigate and arrange any refund that is due. Refunds will normally be returned using the original payment method. The time taken for refunded funds to appear in your account may depend upon the relevant bank or payment provider and is outside Orenna Wellness's direct control once the refund has been processed. WooCommerce may be used separately for products or other purchases. A WooCommerce order or product payment does not itself confirm a private experience, workshop or event booking unless expressly stated.
05. Private Experience Cancellation and Rescheduling
Private Experience bookings are personal to the named guest and are not transferable to another person. To cancel or request a change to a Private Experience, contact Orenna Wellness using the designated contact details provided on the website or with your booking information. A cancellation or rescheduling request is treated as received when it reaches the designated Orenna Wellness contact channel. Messages sent through unrelated channels are not treated as confirmed cancellation or rescheduling requests. A request to substitute another person for the named guest does not constitute cancellation or rescheduling and does not extend the applicable notice period. The following cancellation arrangements apply to Private Experiences: At least 48 hours' notice You may cancel or request to reschedule without a cancellation charge. Rescheduling remains subject to availability. Less than 48 hours but at least 24 hours' notice A cancellation charge of up to 50% of the Private Experience fee may apply. Less than 24 hours' notice or non-attendance A cancellation charge of up to the full Private Experience fee may apply. These percentages are maximum potential charges and are not automatic penalties. Any amount retained by Orenna Wellness will be limited to what is fair and proportionate to the loss directly resulting from the cancellation. In determining this, Orenna Wellness will take account of relevant costs saved and any reasonable opportunity to fill the appointment. Orenna Wellness will not recover the same loss twice. Any balance of an advance payment remaining after a fair cancellation charge has been applied will be refunded. Non-recoverable venue or third-party costs may be taken into account only where they were genuinely incurred in connection with the booking, were appropriately disclosed where required, and have not already been recovered elsewhere. Nothing in this section excludes or restricts any cancellation, refund or other right available to you under applicable consumer law.
06. Workshops & Events: Booking, Cancellation and Transfers
Workshops and events may have limited capacity, fixed dates, minimum participant numbers, venue commitments or other arrangements that differ from Private Experiences. The applicable price, date, time, location or online format and any material event-specific information will be provided before booking. A workshop or event booking is initially made for the participant named in the booking. Transfer to another participant Workshop and event places may be transferred to another person. You must notify Orenna Wellness before the workshop or event begins and provide any information reasonably required to register the replacement participant. The replacement participant must agree to the applicable Terms & Conditions and complete any required Participation Declaration before participating. This right to transfer a place to another person applies only to workshops and events. Private Experiences remain non-transferable under Section 05. Cancellation by the participant Unless different arrangements are clearly disclosed before booking for a particular workshop or event, the following standard cancellation arrangements apply: 14 days or more before the workshop or event You may cancel and receive a refund of the workshop or event fee, less any reasonable, non-recoverable costs directly incurred as a result of your cancellation, where applicable. Between 7 and 13 days before the workshop or event A cancellation charge of up to 50% of the workshop or event fee may apply. Less than 7 days before the workshop or event, or non-attendance A cancellation charge of up to the full workshop or event fee may apply. The percentages above are maximum potential charges and are not automatic penalties. Any amount retained by Orenna Wellness will be limited to what is fair and proportionate to the loss directly resulting from the cancellation, taking account of relevant costs saved and reasonable opportunities to offer the place to another participant. Orenna Wellness will not recover the same loss twice. If a cancelled place is subsequently filled by another participant, or Orenna Wellness otherwise avoids some or all of the loss resulting from the cancellation, this will be taken into account when determining the amount retained or refunded. Workshop dates and alternative workshops Workshops and events take place on fixed dates and cannot be individually rescheduled. Where Orenna Wellness subsequently offers another workshop or event of the same nature, Orenna Wellness may, at its discretion and subject to availability, agree to transfer your booking to that workshop instead of treating the booking as cancelled. This is not guaranteed and does not create an entitlement to a future workshop, event or alternative service. Orenna Wellness does not issue account credit for cancelled workshop or event bookings. Specific-date workshops and the statutory cancellation period Where a workshop or event is a service related to a leisure activity and the contract provides for a specific date or period of performance, the statutory 14-day cancellation right that applies to certain distance and off-premises contracts does not apply. The contractual cancellation arrangements provided by Orenna Wellness in this section nevertheless apply. Nothing in this section excludes or restricts any statutory cancellation, refund or other consumer right that applies to the particular contract.
07. Late Arrival and Non-Attendance
For Private Experiences, please arrive at the agreed time. Late arrival may require the experience to be shortened where reasonably necessary to protect subsequent appointments, preparation arrangements or other commitments. Orenna Wellness cannot guarantee that an appointment can be extended because a guest arrives late. For workshops and events, late admission may be restricted where entering after the scheduled start would materially disrupt the session, interfere with other participants or create a safety concern. If you know that you cannot attend, please contact Orenna Wellness as soon as reasonably possible. Non-attendance is dealt with under the cancellation provisions applicable to the service booked.
08. Cancellations or Changes by Orenna Wellness
Orenna Wellness may occasionally need to cancel, postpone or rearrange a Private Experience, workshop or event because of practitioner illness, safety concerns, venue problems, severe weather, significant transport disruption, utility or technology failures, emergencies, restrictions imposed by public authorities or other circumstances that reasonably prevent the service from being provided as agreed. Orenna Wellness will contact affected guests or participants as soon as reasonably practicable and explain the available options. Private Experiences Where Orenna Wellness cannot provide the agreed Private Experience, we will offer a suitable alternative appointment where available. If you do not wish to accept the alternative appointment, or a suitable alternative cannot be provided, Orenna Wellness will refund the amount you paid for the affected experience. Workshops and Events If Orenna Wellness cancels a workshop or event and cannot provide the booked service, participants will be offered either: • a transfer to a rearranged or equivalent workshop or event, where available; or • a refund of the amount paid for the cancelled service. You will not be required to accept a replacement date, different workshop, event or account credit instead of a refund to which you are entitled. Orenna Wellness will not substitute an in-person Private Experience, workshop or event with an online service without your agreement. Where Orenna Wellness cancels because it cannot provide the agreed service, a customer cancellation charge will not apply. Orenna Wellness is not responsible for separate travel, accommodation or other arrangements made by you in connection with attendance, except to the extent that responsibility for a particular loss cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights.
09. Participation, Personal Responsibility and Health
Orenna Wellness Private Experiences, workshops and events may include yoga movement and positioning, breathing practices, meditation, relaxation, mindfulness and other non-clinical wellness practices appropriate to the service being offered. Participation is voluntary. You are encouraged to pay attention to your own experience and respect your individual limits on the day. You may decline or modify a movement, position, breathing practice, meditation, physical assistance, touch, sensory element, reflective activity or discussion; come out of a position; pause; rest; or stop participating at any time. During physical practice, you should not attempt or continue a movement or position that causes pain or significant strain. You may modify a practice, come out of a position, pause or rest at any time, and should tell your practitioner if something does not feel appropriate for you. If you experience pain, significant discomfort, dizziness, unusual shortness of breath or another concerning symptom during physical practice, stop the activity and inform the practitioner where appropriate. If you have a health condition, injury, are pregnant, have recently undergone surgery or medical treatment, or have any concern about whether a practice is appropriate for you, you are responsible for seeking advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional where necessary before participating. Please let your Orenna practitioner know about anything relevant to your comfort, movement or safe participation so that appropriate choices or adaptations can be considered. You do not need to provide a detailed medical history. Some workshops or educational experiences may include reflective themes or discussion of subjects relating to wellbeing, emotions, behaviour, personal experience or psychological concepts. Individual responses to such material vary, and some content may feel personally or emotionally challenging. You are not required to disclose personal experiences or participate in any discussion or activity that you do not wish to undertake. You may pause, step away or discontinue participation at any time. Orenna Wellness provides non-clinical services. Private Experiences, workshops and events do not provide medical diagnosis or treatment, physiotherapy, psychological therapy, counselling or mental-health treatment and are not substitutes for care from an appropriately qualified professional. If workshop material raises concerns about your wellbeing, causes significant or continuing distress, or brings up matters for which you need individual support, you should seek assistance from an appropriately qualified healthcare or mental-health professional or another appropriate support service. Support in Scotland: You may contact your GP or NHS 24 on 111 for health advice and support. Breathing Space (0800 83 85 87) provides confidential support for people in Scotland aged 16 and over experiencing low mood, anxiety or depression. Samaritans (116 123) provides free emotional support 24 hours a day. If there is an immediate emergency or someone is in immediate danger, call 999. If you are participating from outside Scotland, please use the appropriate healthcare, mental-health, crisis or emergency services available in your location. These services are independent of Orenna Wellness, and Orenna Wellness does not provide crisis or emergency mental-health support. Where physical assistance or hands-on adjustment is offered, your consent will be sought before it is provided. You may decline or withdraw consent at any time. Orenna Wellness will provide its services with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in this section requires you to waive any statutory or other legal right, and participation does not constitute such a waiver. Personal information voluntarily provided to Orenna Wellness is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
10. Studio Arrangements and Conduct
11. Online Workshops & Events
Where a workshop or event is delivered online, the booking information will identify the intended format or platform and any equipment or preparation reasonably required. You are responsible for having a suitable device, internet connection and access to the technology reasonably required to participate. You are responsible for choosing a participation environment with sufficient space for the activities you choose to undertake and for keeping the immediate practice area reasonably clear of avoidable obstacles. Any equipment specified for the session should be used in accordance with the instructions or guidance provided. Section 09 — Participation, Personal Responsibility and Health — applies equally to online participation. Orenna Wellness cannot directly assess or control your physical environment during an online session. You remain free to modify, pause, rest or stop participation at any time. Participant-side technical problems If your own device, internet connection, software or other technology prevents or interrupts participation, Orenna Wellness cannot guarantee that the workshop or event can be repeated or extended. Any request for a refund or other resolution will be considered fairly having regard to the circumstances and the cancellation provisions applicable to the booking. Orenna-side technical problems If a material technical failure within Orenna Wellness's reasonable control prevents Orenna Wellness from providing all or a substantial part of the booked service, reasonable steps will first be taken to restore the service. Where the service cannot reasonably be restored or provided, Orenna Wellness will offer an appropriate alternative arrangement or refund for the part of the service that could not be provided, as appropriate in the circumstances and subject to your statutory rights. Access and privacy Access links, passwords and similar access credentials supplied for an online workshop or event are for registered participants and must not be published, shared or distributed without permission. Participants must not photograph, audio-record, video-record, screen-record, livestream or otherwise reproduce an online workshop, event or another participant without prior permission. Orenna Wellness will not record an online workshop or event containing identifiable participants without providing appropriate information beforehand and obtaining any consent required by applicable data-protection law. Participants must respect the privacy of others and must not deliberately disclose, publish or distribute another participant's personal information obtained through participation in an Orenna Wellness workshop or event without permission or another lawful basis.
12. Digital Products and Downloadable Materials
Orenna Wellness may offer digital products and downloadable materials for purchase, including wellness workbooks, guides and other educational or reflective resources. Digital products may not be available for purchase in every country or territory. Orenna Wellness may limit the countries or territories in which a digital product is offered where reasonably necessary for legal, regulatory, tax, payment-processing or other legitimate operational reasons. The description, price, format and any relevant technical requirements for a digital product will be provided before purchase. Digital products will be supplied in the manner described at the time of purchase, which may include access to or delivery of a downloadable file. Where you request or agree to receive digital content immediately, before the end of the applicable 14-day cancellation period, you will be asked to give your express consent to immediate supply and to acknowledge that, once supply of the digital content begins, you will lose your statutory right to cancel the purchase. Where the required consent and acknowledgement have been provided and supply of the digital content has begun, the statutory cancellation right will no longer apply. This does not affect your statutory rights where digital content is faulty, not as described or otherwise does not conform to the contract. Digital products are provided for personal, non-commercial use unless expressly stated otherwise. You must not reproduce, distribute, sell, licence, publish, upload, share or otherwise make the digital product available to another person except where permitted by law or with the prior permission of Orenna Wellness. Orenna Wellness workbooks and other wellness materials are provided for educational, informational and personal reflective purposes. They do not provide medical assessment, diagnosis or treatment, psychological therapy, counselling or other clinical services and are not a substitute for advice or care from an appropriately qualified professional. Individual responses to reflective material vary. You may choose whether and how to engage with particular exercises or questions. If material raises concerns about your wellbeing or causes significant or continuing distress, you should stop using the material where appropriate and seek assistance from an appropriately qualified healthcare or mental-health professional or another appropriate support service. Nothing in this section excludes or restricts your statutory rights in relation to digital content.
13. Personal Belongings, Vehicles and Liability
Please take reasonable care of your personal belongings while attending Orenna Wellness premises or another venue used for an Orenna Wellness service. Where parking is available at the Orenna Wellness premises, it is provided for the convenience of guests and participants. Vehicles and any belongings left within them remain the responsibility of their owners. Please ensure that your vehicle is appropriately secured and that valuables are not left unattended. Orenna Wellness is not responsible for theft, loss of or damage to a vehicle, its contents or other personal property unless the loss or damage results from circumstances for which Orenna Wellness is legally responsible. Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts liability for: • death or personal injury resulting from negligence; • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or • any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted. Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts your statutory rights, including your right to have services provided with reasonable care and skill.
14. Complaints and Contact
15. Statutory and Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or replaces any mandatory right or remedy available to a consumer under applicable law. Orenna Wellness will provide services with reasonable care and skill and in accordance with information about the service that forms part of the contract. Where Orenna Wellness supplies digital content, applicable statutory rights relating to digital content, including rights concerning quality, fitness for purpose where applicable, conformity with description and available remedies, are not excluded or restricted by these Terms. Different statutory cancellation rules may apply depending on the nature of the service, how the contract is entered into and when the service is to be supplied. In particular, services related to leisure activities that are contracted for a specific date or period of performance may be excluded from the statutory 14-day cancellation right that otherwise applies to certain distance or off-premises contracts. If a mandatory consumer right conflicts with these Terms, the mandatory consumer right prevails.
16. Changes to These Terms
Orenna Wellness may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to services, digital products, booking or purchasing arrangements, business operations or applicable legal requirements. Updated Terms & Conditions will apply to bookings and purchases made after the changes take effect. Changes will not retrospectively alter the contractual terms of an existing confirmed booking or purchase unless: • the change is required by law or is necessary to give effect to a mandatory legal requirement; or • the change is expressly agreed with you. The effective date shown at the beginning of these Terms & Conditions identifies when the current Terms & Conditions took effect.
17. Intellectual Property and Workshop Materials
Unless otherwise stated, original Orenna Wellness text, images, branding, digital products, workbooks, Personalised Practice Notes, workshop materials, handouts, presentations, recordings and other original materials are owned by Orenna Wellness or are used with appropriate permission. Personalised Practice Notes and other materials supplied as part of a Private Experience are intended for the recipient's personal use. Workshop and event materials supplied to participants are intended for personal learning and reference unless expressly stated otherwise. You may retain and use materials supplied to you for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. Except where permitted by law or with prior written permission from Orenna Wellness, you must not reproduce, republish, distribute, upload, sell, license, commercially exploit, make publicly available or substantially reproduce Orenna Wellness materials. You must not share access to an online workshop or event, or restricted materials associated with it, with an unregistered participant unless Orenna Wellness has agreed otherwise. Nothing in this section restricts any use permitted by applicable law.
18. Website, Booking-System and Online-Service Availability
Orenna Wellness takes reasonable steps to maintain the availability and security of its website, booking facilities and online services. Occasional maintenance, third-party outages, internet failures or other technical difficulties may interrupt access. If a technical problem prevents you from completing or managing a booking or purchase, or from accessing a digital product you have purchased, please contact Orenna Wellness directly. A checkout, registration or payment attempt does not itself confirm a Private Experience, workshop, event or digital-product purchase unless the relevant booking or order has been confirmed in accordance with these Terms. Nothing in this section excludes or restricts responsibility that Orenna Wellness has under applicable law.
19. Governing Law and International Customers
These Terms & Conditions and any contractual relationship between you and Orenna Wellness are governed by Scots law. If you are a consumer resident outside Scotland, nothing in these Terms is intended to deprive you of any mandatory consumer protection or other rights that apply to you under applicable law and which cannot lawfully be excluded by agreement. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you may have to bring proceedings in a court having jurisdiction under applicable law. If Orenna Wellness does not immediately exercise or enforce a right under these Terms & Conditions, this does not mean that the right has been waived. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
