Code of Conduct

Respect, integrity and care in every experience.

01. Professional Integrity & Accountability

We conduct our practice with honesty, integrity and professional responsibility. We commit to: • Acting conscientiously and in accordance with applicable legislation and relevant professional membership requirements. • Maintaining appropriate professional qualifications, registrations and insurance for the services we provide. • Representing our qualifications, experience and professional affiliations accurately. • Exercising sound professional judgement and recognising the limits of our competence. • Taking responsibility for our professional decisions and responding appropriately when concerns arise. • Avoiding conflicts of interest and disclosing relevant conflicts where they may affect professional judgement. We do not misrepresent our services, credentials or professional standing, nor do we imply endorsement by an organisation beyond the recognition it has actually granted. Our separate Scope of Practice explains the professional boundaries governing the services we provide.

02. Respect, Dignity & Inclusion

Every guest is entitled to respectful and considerate treatment. We welcome individuals of different backgrounds, identities, beliefs, abilities and personal circumstances. We do not tolerate unlawful discrimination, harassment, bullying, intimidation or victimisation. We are committed to considering reasonable adjustments for disabled guests and responding appropriately to individual communication, mobility and sensory requirements. Our approach recognises that inclusion requires more than offering everyone an identical experience. We respect individual differences without making assumptions about a person's abilities, preferences, health or personal circumstances. We ask guests to extend the same courtesy and respect to the practitioner and anyone they encounter during their visit.

03. Informed Consent & Personal Choice

Participation in an Orenna experience is voluntary. We provide appropriate information about the proposed practice and explain relevant considerations so that guests can make informed decisions. Guests may decline an activity, request an alternative, take a break or discontinue participation at any time. They are not required to explain or justify their personal preferences.

Physical contact is never assumed. Before offering any hands-on assistance, we explain its purpose and obtain specific, informed and voluntary consent. Silence, previous participation or consent given on another occasion does not constitute permission. Consent may be withdrawn at any time. We respect a guest's decision without pressure, embarrassment or adverse treatment. Where a guest does not wish to receive physical assistance, we use appropriate verbal guidance, demonstration or other suitable alternatives.

04. Professional Boundaries & Relationships

We maintain clear, appropriate and respectful professional boundaries. The practitioner–guest relationship must never be used to exploit trust, dependency, vulnerability or personal information. We prohibit: • Sexual misconduct, sexual harassment and inappropriate sexualised behaviour. • Unwanted physical contact. • Coercion, manipulation, intimidation or exploitation. • Inappropriate personal, romantic, financial or other relationships that compromise professional judgement or exploit the practitioner–guest relationship. • Requests or conduct that violate another person's dignity or boundaries. Professional boundaries apply equally to in-person interactions, telephone conversations, email, messaging and social media. We do not use information disclosed during a consultation or session to pursue inappropriate personal relationships or unrelated commercial interests. Guests are expected to respect the practitioner's boundaries and communicate appropriately. Where a boundary concern arises, we will respond proportionately and take appropriate action to protect those involved.

05. Safety & Prevention of Harm

We take reasonable and proportionate steps to protect the safety and wellbeing of our guests. Our responsibilities include maintaining an appropriate practice environment, considering foreseeable risks and using equipment responsibly. We follow documented health-and-safety arrangements appropriate to our services and studio. We will not conduct sessions when illness, impairment or another circumstance compromises our ability to teach safely. We do not teach while impaired by alcohol, recreational drugs or medication that adversely affects safe professional performance. Guests are encouraged to communicate relevant safety concerns and advise us if they experience discomfort or wish to discontinue an activity. Where a significant concern arises, we may modify, postpone or discontinue a practice. Safety decisions are made with consideration for the individual, the circumstances and our professional responsibilities. No practice can be guaranteed to be entirely free from risk.

06. Safeguarding & Protection from Harm

We take concerns about abuse, neglect, exploitation and vulnerability seriously. Our practitioner maintains appropriate safeguarding awareness and recognises the importance of responding to concerns within the limits of their professional role. We do not promise absolute confidentiality where there is a serious safeguarding concern or another lawful reason for disclosure. Where appropriate, we may seek specialist advice, contact relevant safeguarding services or take other proportionate action. Information will be shared only where there is an appropriate lawful basis and to the extent necessary for the circumstances. Safeguarding concerns will be handled respectfully and documented in accordance with our internal procedures and applicable data protection requirements. We will not investigate suspected abuse beyond our competence or assume the role of statutory safeguarding authorities.

07. Privacy, Confidentiality & Personal Information

We respect the privacy of every guest. Information shared during enquiries, consultations and private sessions is treated with discretion and handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation. We collect personal information only where there is an identified and appropriate purpose. We recognise that health information and certain other personal details require additional protection. Guests are not expected to disclose personal experiences or discuss their emotional wellbeing unless they choose to do so. However, we may need sufficient relevant information to determine whether a proposed experience can be provided responsibly. We explain the purpose of information requests and the implications where essential information is unavailable. We maintain appropriate arrangements for the secure storage, access, retention and disposal of personal records. Information is not disclosed for unrelated purposes without an appropriate lawful basis. Confidentiality may be subject to lawful disclosure requirements, safeguarding considerations or other circumstances permitted by law. Further information is provided in our Privacy Policy.

08. Honest Communication & Responsible Representation

We communicate clearly and accurately about our services, qualifications and professional experience. We do not make misleading, exaggerated or unsupported claims about the benefits of yoga, mindfulness or other wellness practices. We do not promise particular physical, psychological or medical outcomes. We distinguish professional teaching from personal opinion and avoid presenting uncertain evidence as established fact. Our website, promotional materials, consultations and communications must accurately describe the nature of the experiences offered. We do not imply that yoga or mindfulness should replace appropriate medical or psychological care. We disclose relevant professional affiliations accurately and do not claim accreditation, endorsement or recognition that has not been granted.

09. Respect for Yoga Traditions & Teaching Sources

We respect yoga's cultural origins, philosophical traditions and diverse teaching lineages. We seek to communicate traditional concepts accurately and avoid presenting cultural or historical interpretations as unquestionable facts. We acknowledge relevant teachers, authors, traditions and other sources when using or sharing their work. We do not knowingly misrepresent another person's teachings as our own. We also recognise that guests may hold different religious, spiritual or philosophical beliefs. Participation in Orenna experiences does not require adherence to any particular belief system. Our approach respects tradition while allowing guests to engage with practices in a way that is appropriate to their individual circumstances.

10. Professional Development & Reflective Practice

We recognise that professional competence requires ongoing attention. Our practitioner is committed to maintaining relevant knowledge, reviewing professional guidance and undertaking continuing education in accordance with applicable registration requirements and identified learning needs. We use reflective practice to consider teaching decisions, recognise limitations and identify opportunities for improvement. Appropriate professional consultation, mentoring or supervision may be sought where relevant to the work undertaken. Any professional discussion involving guest information must respect confidentiality and data protection requirements. We do not represent professional development as evidence that a particular practice guarantees an outcome.

11. A Considered Studio Environment

We maintain a clean, welcoming and appropriately prepared environment. Equipment, textiles, refreshments and studio facilities are selected, maintained and used with consideration for hygiene, comfort and safety. We aim to accommodate relevant accessibility, communication and sensory requirements through reasonable adjustments. Guests are asked to: • Treat the studio, furnishings and equipment with care. • Follow reasonable safety and hygiene guidance. • Respect the privacy and personal space of others. • Advise us of any immediate environmental concern. • Avoid behaviour that compromises safety or professional boundaries. Shoes are normally removed before entering the practice space. Clean socks or bare feet are appropriate, with reasonable exceptions for individual accessibility, medical or safety needs. Smoking, vaping and recreational drug use are not permitted within the studio. We do not permit threatening, abusive or sexually inappropriate conduct.

12. Photography, Recording & Digital Conduct

The privacy of our guests is an important part of the Orenna experience. We do not photograph, film or record guests without their prior knowledge and an appropriate lawful basis. Photography or recording for promotional purposes requires separate, informed permission. Consent to participate in a session does not constitute consent to photography, recording or publicity. Guests must obtain permission before photographing, filming or recording the practitioner or any other individual. Any agreed recording must respect the privacy, intellectual property and rights of those involved. We maintain professional standards in electronic communications and social media. We do not publish identifiable guest information, testimonials, photographs or personal stories without the necessary permission and lawful basis. Permission for promotional use may be withdrawn where consent is the lawful basis, subject to the applicable legal and practical limitations explained when consent is obtained.

13. Accidents, Incidents & Professional Reporting

We respond promptly and appropriately to accidents, injuries, emergencies and other significant safety incidents. Where necessary, we will arrange appropriate assistance or contact emergency services. We maintain factual records of relevant incidents, including the circumstances, actions taken and any necessary follow-up. Records are handled confidentially and retained in accordance with applicable legal and data protection requirements. Where an incident may give rise to an insurance claim, we will comply with the applicable notification requirements of our insurer and relevant professional membership organisations. We will also make any statutory notifications required by law. We review incidents to identify appropriate improvements to our practices and safety arrangements.

14. Concerns, Complaints & Fair Treatment

We welcome feedback and take concerns about professional conduct, safety, privacy or guest experience seriously. Guests may raise a concern directly through the contact details provided on our website. We will: • Acknowledge and consider concerns respectfully. • Seek to understand the circumstances without prejudging the outcome. • Maintain appropriate confidentiality. • Take proportionate action where a concern is substantiated. • Explain relevant outcomes or next steps where appropriate and lawful. • Avoid retaliation against anyone raising a concern in good faith. Where a complaint concerns professional conduct, guests may also contact an applicable professional organisation through its established complaints process. We recognise that guests retain any statutory rights or external reporting options available to them.

15. Guest Responsibilities & Mutual Respect

A private Orenna experience is founded on mutual respect. We ask guests to engage with the consultation process in good faith and provide information that is accurate to the best of their knowledge where it is relevant to safe participation. Guests should advise us of material changes that may affect their session. Guests remain free to decline activities and communicate their preferences at any time. We also ask guests to respect the practitioner's professional role, follow reasonable safety instructions and refrain from harassment, intimidation or inappropriate conduct. A guest's disability, health condition, communication needs or decision to decline an activity will not, in itself, be treated as misconduct. Where a concern arises, we will consider the circumstances and any reasonable adjustments before deciding on an appropriate response.

16. Upholding Our Code

We are responsible for maintaining the professional standards described in this Code. Where behaviour creates a significant safety concern, violates professional boundaries or constitutes serious misconduct, we may take proportionate action. Depending on the circumstances, this may include discussing the concern, adapting arrangements, ending a session or declining a future booking where lawful and justified. Decisions will be made with consideration for fairness, individual circumstances, applicable equality obligations and the rights of those involved. Any contractual consequences, including cancellation or refund arrangements, are governed by our Terms & Conditions and applicable consumer law. Nothing in this Code limits a guest's statutory rights.

Our Continuing Commitment

This Code of Conduct reflects the standards we undertake to uphold in every Orenna experience. We review our professional practices and policies as our services develop and as relevant legislation or professional requirements change. Our commitment is to maintain a respectful, accountable and professionally responsible environment in which every experience is approached with care.

Tradition is respected. Evidence is considered. Experience remains individual.
