Our Green Policy - At Orenna Wellness, we believe that caring for our guests and showing consideration for the natural world are complementary responsibilities.
Inspired by our Highland setting, we seek to minimise unnecessary waste, use resources thoughtfully and make responsible choices throughout our private wellness experiences.
Our approach favours quality over excess, careful product selection and practical measures that reduce unnecessary environmental impact without compromising comfort, hygiene, accessibility or individual needs. The following commitments guide our everyday operations and our approach to continuous improvement.
01. Thoughtfully Selected Products We favour environmentally considerate products and certified organic ingredients wherever practical. From our selection of teas and botanical products to cleaning supplies and studio materials, we consider quality, responsible sourcing, packaging, durability and suitability. We prioritise reusable products, favour minimal packaging and seek to extend the useful life of our equipment and materials. Our purchasing decisions balance environmental considerations with product performance, safety and the wellbeing of our guests.
02. Responsible Water Use We favour reusable glass water bottles and drinking vessels rather than routinely providing single-use plastic bottles. These are carefully cleaned between guests to maintain appropriate hygiene standards. Suitable alternatives remain available where individual needs require them. We also aim to conserve water through considered cleaning, efficient laundry practices and responsible everyday use.
03. Energy & Thermal Comfort We aim to use energy efficiently through considered lighting, heating and equipment management. The studio is prepared according to the nature of each experience, with particular attention to thermal comfort during quieter practices. Heating and lighting are managed according to occupancy and individual requirements. We seek to avoid unnecessary energy consumption while ensuring that guest comfort, accessibility and safety remain essential..
04. Textiles & Laundry We favour durable, reusable towels, blankets and other textiles rather than unnecessary disposable alternatives. Our textiles are maintained with care to extend their useful life. Laundry practices consider water and energy consumption, appropriate detergent use and the prevention of unnecessary washing. Where appropriate, we also seek to reduce the release of synthetic microfibres during laundering. Suitable hygiene standards are maintained between guests, and textiles are cleaned according to their intended use and care requirements.
05. Less Paper, Less Waste We favour digital communication, electronic consultation documents and personalised Practice Notes to reduce unnecessary printing. Where paper is required, we aim to use it responsibly while accommodating individual communication and accessibility needs. We seek to minimise waste through considered purchasing, reusable materials, reduced packaging and appropriate recycling and disposal arrangements. Our priority is to avoid unnecessary consumption wherever practical.
06. A Continuing Commitment Environmental responsibility remains an ongoing consideration in the way we operate. We review our purchasing decisions, use of resources and everyday practices, identifying opportunities for improvement as our business develops. We recognise that no business operates without environmental impact. Our commitment is to make informed, proportionate choices, communicate our practices accurately and continue improving wherever practical
